1957 marked the introduction of the 2nd-generation of the Forward Look for all Chrysler Corporation cars. The 4-door Chrysler Windsor sedan pictured was the best selling model, and featured two-tone paint treatment, with the inside of the arch-shaped side trim and roof being offset in white.
Topped off with the flamboyant, soaring tail fins that were so admired by the designer Virgil Exner, the cars made a real visual statement especially when viewed from the rear. Styling was so well received that the design was awarded two gold metals from the Industrial Designers Institute.
